This selection of Bible verses exemplifies the three parts of the soul. Notice how they relate to each other as expressed by Jesus’ command in Matthew 22:37 to ‘love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.’ We see many different emotions felt: joy, depression, anger, hatred, grief, distress, exhaustion, and so on. When Bible stories speak of emotions it resonates with us because we know what it is like to have felt a particular emotion. We may not have faced the same set of circumstances or gone through the same life event yet we are able to identify with the emotions present. Or we may have had similar experiences connecting us even more to Biblical characters.

Since I’ve made a separate category for ‘Mind’ which will cover thoughts and ‘Heart’ which will cover deeply felt emotions this section will mostly be about my will i.e my wants.
